If you’ve opted for MIS integration via XPORTER, your data will have already been imported into your system ahead of your first training session. Now, you will only have to sync the data once you have made a change in your MIS.
Click into the Students section, you will see a white XPORTER button in the top right corner. Click this button to begin syncing your new data. You will be given the option to import any pre-admission students should you wish to. Any new students will then be displayed on the next screen. You must make sure to select which students you’d like to sync across before clicking Continue. This may take a few moments depending on the size of your school.
Once the XPORTER refresh has completed, any new students that have been imported are now shown as inactive as their contacts have not been invited yet. Click into the Users section, you will be able to send these new users an invitation via Actions and Invite or clicking Invite all Inactive Users at the top. You can see which student a contact is connected to under Actions and Show Children.
If you change the priority of a contact in your MIS, this will not automatically update within the Parentapps portal. You must ensure to manually do this. XPORTER will only import information for the current priority 1 contacts within your MIS.
Please note, any changes that you make within your MIS system will need to be left overnight before pressing XPORTER to pull the new changes into the portal. The platform does not write any data back to your MIS system.
