You can add staff onto the app so they can receive content and messages just like a regular parent would. To do this, we need to set them up as regular app users, with themselves as both child and parent, then assign them to a special STAFF grade and class.
First, we need to ensure our staff grade and class are setup, click Settings on the left and check for the relevant grade and class. In my case, I need to create them, first we create a Grade using Create New, filling in the name and clicking Save. Now, we can repeat this for Class and choosing the year we have just created.
Next, click into the Students Tab on the left-hand side then click the Add Student button. Fill in the staff members name, choose a date of birth and the staff grade and class we just created. Next, locate the student we have just added, and Click Edit under the action’s menu. We can now see the child’s profile, click contacts, and create a new contact, again filling in the staff members name, priority, relationship and email or mobile number. This is so we can invite them to the app, you may need to enter a personal email address if they are already an administrator.
Finally, we can click into the Users tab, locate the user we just created, click Actions and Invite. They will now be invited to the app and be able to receive content as soon as they have activated.
If you have lots of staff, you can import in bulk using a CSV import. Simply follow the same rules as above, ensuring they are both a student and a user and are set to the relevant class before uploading.
